Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a nationally recognized Science Engineering and Technology curriculum that engages students with Next Generation Science and Engineering Standards.

This curriculum was made available by the Children and Youth in Transition department of San Diego Unified School District with a federal Department of Defense grant to support military families and students in Math, Science and Engineering.

Project Lead the Way brings a hands on learning approach to Miramar Ranch, engaging teachers, students and community members. Students will learn to solve problems together. The children will collaborate in groups to ask questions and find solutions to real world problems in life, earth and physical sciences.

Our students will also learn about VEX robotics. The children will program and design robots to use light, touch, and color sensors to perform various tasks. These lessons provide students and teachers with a great opportunity to interface with technology in the classroom and through robotics clubs and summer camps.
